The US Medical Eligibility Criteria for Contraceptive Use (USMEC) from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is intended to assist health care providers when counseling individuals about contraception. The US Selected Practice Recommendations (USSPR) for Contraceptive Use, 2013 provides evidence-based guidelines for contraceptive care.
